Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Outdoor Theater under a Tent!

In June 2021, Red Monkey Theater Group, M&M Performing Arts and Theatre 5 Productions brought another site-specific Sherlock Holmes Adventure to Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum at 895 Shore Road, Pelham Bay Park, Bronx, NY 10464.

Join Sherlock Holmes (Tal Aviezer) and Dr. Watson (Michael Muldoon) at the inimitable Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, where a mysterious masked visitor (Quint Spitzer) calls on them to assist in a matter of royal proportions. Together with the famous detectives, enter a world of blackmail, disguise, and intrigue, where the fate of two countries rests in the hands of a single woman. Holmes and Watson need every ounce of ingenuity they can muster to outwit the notorious Irene Adler (Amy Frey).

Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia was directed by Melinda O’Brien with stage management by Emmy Schwartz and Nan Weiss. Performances took place on the pebble court of Bartow-Pell Mansion with time to view the beautiful gardens and run from June 4 through 13, 2021. See the performance program.

Please Note, in the interests of safety, the show will be staged completely outside, on the pebble court immediately behind the house. Bartow-Pell is following the latest federal and state Covid-19 safety guidelines. This will allow for proper social distancing between households. Audience members that are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks throughout the performance. Actors, who are all vaccinated, will not be wearing masks but will maintain social distance from the audience . The play runs about one hour without an intermission.
