JAKE’S WOMEN by Neil Simon
JAKE’S WOMEN is a wildly funny foray into modern relationships that blurs the line between fiction and reality. Jake is a novelist who is seemingly more successful at imagining the women in his life then at dealing with them in person. Faced with a faltering marriage, Jake retreats inside his mind to seek advice from fantasy versions of the women in his life: independent wife, Maggie; bossy and boisterous sister, Karen; precocious daughter, Molly; Jake’s cranky and opinionated psychiatrist, Edith; and his impulsively impetuous first wife, Julie. In exchange, he’s often dealt hilarious insults, mockery, and taunts that help him make his way back to real life. The result is side-splitting laughter and at times moving confrontations, all courtesy of America’s premier comic playwright, Neil Simon. This production of Jake’s Women brings together an amazing cast of M&M veterans. The play is directed by and features Larry Schneider, who has been seen in previous M&M productions of Rabbit Hole, Doubt, and Proof. (He also directed Rabbit Hole, Three Tall Women, and Fiction for M&M.) Featured as Jake's Women are: Jean Kadela, Karen Symington Muendell, Cathy Romanovitch, Carly Lichtenstein and Amanda B. Goodman. Schedule of FREE performances sponsored by the libraries:

THE LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS by David Rambo
"Dear Ann Landers"…For decades, renowned advice columnist Ann Landers answered countless letters from lovelorn teens, confused couples and a multitude of others in need of advice. No topic was off-limits, including nude housekeeping, sex in a motorcycle helmet, the proper way to hang toilet paper, sibling rivalries, addiction and wandering spouses. Landers regaled her readers with direct, insightful and often humorously honest responses. Late on a 1975 night in Landers' Chicago apartment, an ironic twist of events confronts her with a looming deadline for a column dealing with a new kind of heartbreak: her own. As she shares her struggles to complete the column with us, we learn as much about ourselves as we do about the wise, funny, no-nonsense woman whose daily dialogue with America helped shape the social and sexual landscapes of the last half-century. Carol Eagen will portray the delightful Ann Landers. Schedule of FREE performances sponsored by the libraries:

AARDVARK IMPROV THEATER

Aardvark Improv features several talented actor/writers who create hilarious original scenes on the spot.  They use audience suggestions in the style of the TV show: “Who’s Line is it Anyway.” There’s no script, there’s no outline… The only preparation they have is their wits and adrenaline. You toss out the suggestions and Aardvark Improv runs away with them – as they have for several years in the Westchester area. It’s always original, it’s always funny. It’s
